The last 3 months have been a mix of ups and downs, both personally and professionally. 🎢
My contract ended as expected, and it was a sad but happy farewell to the crew I’d spent the last 3 months working with. 😢😊 In hindsight, it was the perfect transition into contracting, with a clearly defined scope of work and deliverables. I was trusted to deliver to meet their needs, and at the contract end, this was complete. ✅
Success!! 🎉
I was thrilled to move immediately into a new contract, this time with a bank in the role of Snr Business Analyst. 💼 A new opportunity to refine skills I have been growing these past 4 years. My Salesforce experience was a definite draw for this role, and I’ve been focusing on growing my knowledge on the nCino platform and also Financial Services Cloud. It feels like a great fit to be focusing on a particular industry, and working client-side with a Salesforce partner supporting has been a great experience. 🤝
In parallel to all of this, we have been in the process of buying a new home and selling the old one, so the lending experience has been very much in focus. 🏠 I don’t recommend starting a new job with this much upheaval going on at home, however, some things just can’t be avoided. The added pressure of buying before selling sucked. 😖

Thankfully, we are in our new home and the old one, which holds over 20 years of memories with my family, will be transitioned to its new owner very soon. 🏡💖
When this role started, I didn’t realize how much pressure I was putting on myself, without allowing time to learn new processes and procedures. As is often the case, this pressure was internal only. The team I am working with are very kind and understanding, having been there themselves not too long ago. 🤗
I’ve just received an unexpected Thank You, for supporting a team member from another stream in his development goal of learning the Salesforce platform. Doing something that I enjoy and having such a positive impact without even realizing is the beauty of our industry. 🌟 There are many reasons I continue to Co-Lead the Salesforce Melbourne User Group, and these ripples that sometimes come back to us are just one of them. 🌊💙
