Where does the time go? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

2–3 minutes

Almost 4 months later and I’m finally updating. I’m taking it as a good sign that I’ve been so busy no time to blog.

In March, I had the pleasure of stepping into the role of Co-Lead for the Salesforce Melbourne User Group. It’s been an enriching experience. We hosted our in-person Reboot session just this week. (Read about it here). It’s truly a blessing to be leading with Josephine and Anne, we each bring different skills and resources to the group, and I’m excited for the events we have planned this yearπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

World Tour came and went in a whirlwind. It was great to meet in person friends who till now have been only virtual buddies. A hectic day that started at 7am with coffee and breakfast hosted by the Sydney Trailblazer Community Groups, followed by breakout sessions and the keynote. One of these days I’ll make it to a social evening and not exhaust myself by the event itself 😴.

It’s been a while since I hit the virtual books, and Salesforce Days has presented the perfect opportunity to refocusπŸ™‡πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ. I’ve enjoyed learning about the sales and discovery processes Salesforce use and recommend Partners also do.

I’m also loving my new role, “Success and Performance Partner”. I get to focus on helping our team succeed in their learning, and our company succeed in general 🌱. When I joined Skie almost 12 months ago I hoped there would be opportunity for this kind of career growth, and I’m thrilled it happened so soon. I aim to be intentional in my learning and this was no different, the BA in me assessing where I could help improve processes and Slack was my first target. It took a few short months to achieve the Slack Administrator credential and start employing best practices and this was the beginning of my new role.

On recommendations from women I admire, I’ve joined a coaching program for Empowering Women in Tech Leaders. This is another way I’m investing in myself, because let’s face it, the sky is the limit! πŸš€ I have some great role models, and I see how much we can contribute. Looking forward to the next 12 months, I’ve already connected with some pretty awesome women and with their support and coaching I’m confident I will continue to grow my career.

Dreamforce is looming just 3 short months away, I’ve submitted a topic I’m hopeful will be chosen for a campfire πŸ”₯ session. Public speaking is a stretch challenge for me but something I’m determined to do well, no doubt it will take time to be comfortable but I’m up for the challenge!
