After a month-long break visiting friends and family in the USA, I arrived home excited to be starting a new position. Unfortunately, I also came home with Covid, so instead of the week I allowed myself to settle in and mentally prepare, I spent the week in isolation, feeling miserable.
Thankfully the team at my new company were understanding. With a calm onboarding, I could start as planned. (Even though I had to squeeze in some naps, brain fog is a very real thing!)
Although returning to virtual meetings was a little more exhausting than I remembered, I know I’ll get back into the swing of things quickly. It was still a shock to the system, and I’m happy for the weekend.

Aside from meeting some great people who I already know make up a dynamite team, the week had another high point in me passing the new Certified Business Analyst exam. This makes my 7th cert, and was real validation of all the skills I’ve been working on mastering over the last 18 months!
