The journey continues into previously unchartered territory for me. We are now in the 6th week of lockdown with my kids at home, virtually learning. Last year we struggled with this when I was not working, so the challenge is even more significant this year.
My workload has evolved, and whilst I set my own schedule, I can’t plan for the unexpected arrival of my 6 year old throwing a tantrum during a client meeting. Thankfully we have all had to adapt so people are understanding, often facing the same challenges themselves. “Stacked pressure” is a term I recently came to understand first-hand.
I’m now working in Managed Services, giving me exposure to multiple orgs each day across various platforms. I’ve become a detective of sorts; when cases come in via Service Cloud, I’m on the hunt to discover the exact issue. Often it’s something I can handle (I’m adding “googling” to my resume 😆). My skills in gathering client requirements have definitely grown. Using both Jira and Service Cloud, I work with our Dev team to close the case.
I’m still working toward Experience Cloud certificate. Making time to study is not the highest priority right now, after a full day at work and homeschooling. I’m trying to go easy on myself. The time will come. For now, I’m busy absorbing everything I’m learning at work; what better experience could I get?!
