I attended my first Trailblazer Connect Career Fair in January this year, virtually from Melbourne, Australia. It was a crazy, fantastic experience that set me on the path to where I am today. A week earlier, I had joined TalentStacker and focused all my waking energy on preparing for this event and studying to pass the Admin Certificate.
Fast forward 6 months, and I’m working for a company I connected with at the end of this Career Fair when we were all a little tired and worn out from the build-up and the day itself. I consider myself extremely fortunate in many ways and credit my preparation for the Career Fair to the guidance I received from Bradly Rice and his team.
Last weekend I was so happy to host a zoom meeting with approximately 70 members of the TalentStacker community all over North America to share my experience and help them prepare. We spent an hour discussing what to expect and generally working on easing the fear and anxiety of the unknown. Feedback today has been extremely positive, and I hope to hear some success stories soon. I’m also looking forward to hearing how refined the pitches were by the end of the day!!
Giving back and supporting each other is such a big part of the Ohana. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute in this way for my fellow Talentstackers.
