I like the title of todays entry. I’m not a fan of cramming, it’s never really worked well for me and it’s definitely not advisable in the Salesforce ecosystem. What I’m learning, I need to retain and be able to call on to logically meet certain requirements. I’ve realized through multiple practice exams that unless you actually understand the foundation of the platform, you won’t get far.
Completing the Admin Superset hi-lighted this, and I’m gaining even more traction through study groups in the Talent Stacker Career Development Program. Our weekly zoom meeting today consisted of a 20 question quiz focused on security and access. It was fun and slightly competitive, and I came in first place which boosted my confidence that I’m getting closer to sitting for the exam. We had a chat session afterwards and shared knowledge and experiences.
I feel I have about a weeks worth of targeted study left to be confident sitting the exam. I’m more than halfway through the Prepare for Your Salesforce Administrator Credential Trailmix . Thats definitely helpful, I’ve also just downloaded a new resource from Mike Wheeler the Self Assessment Checklist.
So onto the next badge, and perhaps even a Superbadge in the App Building Set. I’m really enjoying the feeling of understanding what and why I am doing things.
